English Tea Almonds

Ingredients
  • 70g¾ sugar
  • 10g¾ instant tea
  • 6g¾ grated lemon peel
  • 1 egg white
  • 400g whole blanched almonds
Preparation
  1. In small bowl combine sugar, tea and lemon peel; set aside.
  2. Beat egg white until frothy.
  3. Add almonds; toss to coat. Drain on paper toweling.
  4. Toss almonds with sugar-tea mixture to coat.
  5. Spread in single layer in greased shallow baking pan.
  6. Bake at 150_C/Gas Mark 2/300_F for 15-20 minutes, until toasted. Cool.
