Since 1973, the California almond community, through the Almond Board of California, has supported $89 million in research to improve farming practices while minimizing environmental impacts, identifying health benefits from almond consumption, ensuring food quality and safety, and identifying new uses of orchard biomass.

Our Approach to Research

California's community of more than 7,600 almond farmers is committed to utilising sustainable agricultural practices that are economically viable and are based upon scientific research, common sense and a respect for the environment, neighbours and employees.

Our Partners

The almond community funds independent academic researchers and emphasize peer reviewed publication of research on a range of topics that will lead to innovative production practices, efficient and sustainable farming, and delivery of a high quality and healthy product to consumers world-wide.
